The perfect rainy day activity, our brand new contrast therapy offer is based on the ‘Nordic Cycle’ technique, a ‘hot sauna, cold water’ routine that can help boost circulation and enhance overall well-being.
Begin your adventure by taking a refreshing dip in the pristine waters of Llyn Brenig. If cold water isn’t your thing, there’s also a plunge pool available, set at 20°C.
Afterwards, continue your blissful journey and relax in our luxurious sauna where the warmth will envelop you and soothe away stress.
To complete the experience, why not add an Afternoon Tea for only £16 per person? This includes tea with a selection of cakes and sandwiches.

The sauna is located next to the Visitor Centre in easy reach of the clear, cold waters of Llyn Brenig.
You will need to bring two towels (one for drying, one for sitting in the sauna), swimwear, swimming hat and footwear suitable to wade into the water.
Swimming gloves are recommended. If you don’t have any, we have a limited number that may be borrowed. Dry robes are also recommended but not essential.
After a short briefing, you will switch between cold water immersion and the heat of the sauna. For your safety, timings will be controlled in each environment. You will end on a rewarming session in the sauna.
Please note, this is not a cold water swimming session. You may wade to waist depth and sit down to your shoulders but to guard against cold shock. We do not allow the face to be submerged.
