Ideal for beginners, this cycle ride will take around 15 minutes to complete, giving you plenty of time to vacate the saddle to take in the panoramic scenery and all that fresh air!

A scenic route through the trees and then on to open panoramic views to link the two lakes and their trails

Through the trees once again, crossing straight over when you reach the forest road and immediately picking up the path again. This is a good place to check those brakes, as it can become a little tricky from here!
Depending on the weather and visibility, you will see the gates leading through to Hafod Elwy Nature reserve at the end of the tree line.
The views open out here in spectacular fashion to the left and the right, and excellent opportunity to vacate the saddle and take them in! Follow the trail markers until you are heading down towards the Alwen, check those brakes again.
Carry on down the path, following the trail markers, and you will find yourself at the wonderful wooden bridge that will take you across so you can start the ascent up the path to Mynydd Hiraethog.
9.5m / 14.5km. There is no better way to admire the great outdoors as you cycle through the peaceful woodland and soak up views of the beautiful shoreline.
